Anat Cohen, Ph.D., Co-Founder
Dr. Anat Cohen is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY15800) with twenty-five years of experience in practice. She received her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP), an institution accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), in 1996. Dr. Cohen has provided and supervised mental health services in a variety of settings, including Children's Hospital, psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health centers.
As a clinical professor at Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology, Dr. Cohen has served as the director of the Pepperdine Community Counseling Center in Encino since 2002. The center, which is now located in Calabasas as a telehealth clinic, benefits from her proven track record as an experienced clinical supervisor and leader in the field of clinical training in psychology. Dr. Cohen has taught, trained, mentored, and supervised numerous Marriage and Family Therapists and psychologists. She has made significant contributions to the career development of countless therapists over the past two decades.
Dr. Cohen is passionate about community outreach and has developed and led bullying prevention programs in local schools. She has also provided pro bono parent training workshops and donated her services to non-profit agencies that serve at-risk youth.
Dr. Cohen's approach to therapy is supportive and collaborative. She genuinely cares about her clients' well-being and quality of life. She is committed to helping individuals find their voice and agency. Dr. Cohen tailors her integrative approach to treatment to her clients' needs, backgrounds, and goals. The cornerstones of her approach are acceptance and respect. Dr. Cohen is as dedicated and enthusiastic about her clinical work today as she was when she saw her first client. She finds it energizing and rewarding to serve others.

Tamara Eromo, Psy.D., Co-Founder
Dr. Tamara Eromo is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY31798) and has been working in the mental health field since 2006. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University, a school accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). Prior to her doctoral work, Dr. Eromo received a master's degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is currently adjunct clinical faculty at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology, where she has been supervising doctoral level trainees since 2016.
Dr. Eromo has clinical training and experience in a variety of settings, including community mental health, medical centers (Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles), and a nonprofit organization. She completed her APA-accredited internship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in 2013. In addition, Dr. Eromo has extensive experience teaching and conducting psychological assessments (neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic).
Dr. Eromo works with individuals, couples, and parents. She takes an integrative, tailored approach to therapy, focused on meeting the individual needs of each client while still practicing within an evidence-based care framework. Her style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. Rooted in her knowledge of attachment science and relational systems, Dr. Eromo strives to help clients create more secure and satisfying connections with significant others in their lives. She aims to create an affirmative space where clients’ experiences can be heard with acceptance and compassion. Dr. Eromo draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Wendy Eifert, Psy.D.
Dr. Wendy Eifert is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY34367) and has been working in the mental health field since 2015. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University, an institution accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). Prior to her doctoral work, Dr. Eifert received a master’s degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Dr. Eifert has clinical training and experience in a variety of settings, including community mental health, a hospital (Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center), and a university counseling center. She completed her APA doctoral internship and postdoctoral residency at University of Southern California Counseling and Mental Health. Additionally, Dr. Eifert has a passion for education and training and has embraced multiple roles, including teaching, developing training curriculums, and providing clinical supervision.
Dr. Eifert works with individuals and couples, providing therapy to a broad and diverse range of clients and presenting concerns. Her areas of focus include mood disorders (i.e., anxiety, depression), trauma, grief, identity exploration, relationship issues, and life transitions. She takes a compassionate, multiculturally minded, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach to support her clients in meeting their needs and living authentic lives that align with their values and aspirations. Dr. Eifert’s integrative approach is rooted in a range of evidence-based modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy, Relational Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Valarie Gardner, M.A., AMFT
Valarie Gardner, MA, AMFT, works as a clinician at Reframe Psychology Group under the clinical supervision of co-founder Anat Cohen, Ph.D.
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Valarie graduated from UC Santa Cruz with Honors and received a BA in English Literature. She pursued her teaching credential from Cal State Northridge and taught kindergarten for 5 years.
Psychology was a natural fit for Valarie as she fused her curiosity and kindness with her educational background, training, and real-life experiences as a mother of two. She graduated from Pepperdine University with an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. Valarie completed her clinical training at Pepperdine’s acclaimed community clinic, where she worked with adult individuals, parents, and families. Her education, experience, and understanding of parents and children have shaped her into a skilled and compassionate clinician.
Valarie emphasizes a collaborative, non-judgmental approach to therapy. She uses client-centered interventions that are skills-based and supported by research. Valarie draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based CBT, Internal Family Systems, and Emotion Focused Therapy, to create a therapy plan tailored to each individual and family. She has successfully helped clients navigate challenging experiences such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, parenting issues, relational distress and more. Valarie believes we can all improve our lives, reduce our suffering, and build loving, lasting connections with others.

Hedieh Hakakian, Psy.D.
Psychological Associate
Dr. Hedieh Hakakian is a Psychological Associate at Reframe Psychology Group under the clinical supervision of Dr. Wendy Eifert.
Dr. Hakakian is an experienced therapist who has worked with transitional-age youth and is passionate about therapy with young adults. Dr.Hakakian's journey began at California State University Northridge (CSUN), where she earned her master's degree in clinical psychology. Building on this foundation, she pursued her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Pepperdine University, an institution accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), which she graduated in 2023.
Throughout her training, Dr. Hakakian has honed her skills through a variety of diverse and challenging settings. She gained valuable clinical experience at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Cerritos College, and other community mental health centers. Her commitment to learning and growth led her to the University of San Francisco (USF), where she completed her APA-accredited internship at the university counseling center, specializing in psychotherapy for university students.
Dr. Hakakian's therapeutic approach is integrative, utilizing a client-centered approach that draws from various evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy. Rooted in her multicultural approach, Dr. Hakakian values her clients' diverse needs and tailors her interventions to match their lived experiences. Driven by a genuine desire to support her clients, she creates a safe and non-judgmental environment in which they can explore life's stressors and navigate personal growth. Through her warm and collaborative approach, Dr. Hakakian aims to leave a lasting impact on the clients she works with, in a genuine attempt to create an affirmative and positive experience for those she serves.
